This is a giclee print of my heart cherry tree print. I call it mending because the tree was mending itself when it created this heart shape. The part that curves around like a wave is the wound wood which is a beautiful metaphor for how nature and the sea is so healing for our souls. The other part of the heart looks to me like a mermaid. This piece is particularly special to me because it grew in my own yard and had to be taken down as it was a volunteer cherry putting too much shade on our garden. The fact it grew this way with the ocean symbology was really surprising and meaningful to me. I hope you love it as much as I do!
